Terms of Service

Boldnest is a web tool that uses AI to generate interior-design suggestions — a curated furniture shopping list, a rough 2D floor plan, an optional 3D view, and — if you upload a room photo — a photorealistic redesign of the same room in a different style. It is a suggestion engine, not architectural or interior-design advice.

These terms apply between you and:

You can use Boldnest without an account. If you create one, you agree to provide a real email address, keep your password reasonably private, and use one account per person.

You must be at least 15 years old — the age of digital consent in Greece under Article 8 GDPR as implemented by Greek Law 4624/2019 — to use Boldnest, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher.

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-download the service or its AI outputs.
• Automate access beyond ordinary personal use, resell the outputs, or use the outputs to train a competing model.
• Upload photos or content you don't have the right to upload — including copyrighted material, other people's homes, or images of identifiable people without their consent.
• Upload content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that violates someone's privacy.
• Attempt to bypass the access gate, authentication, rate limits, or usage quotas.
• Submit prompts intended to elicit unsafe or illegal content from the underlying AI models.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or delete your account without notice.

Photos, briefs, and text you submit remain yours. To provide the service, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to:

• Forward your uploaded photo and brief to the Gemini API (Google LLC) for redesign generation.
• Forward your brief text — and, when you upload a room photo, that photo as well — to the Claude API (Anthropic PBC) for furniture recommendations, a summary, and a quick photo pre-analysis (windows / wall space / seating).
• Store your uploaded photo temporarily on our servers to support the refinement feature (see retention below).

This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems. We do not use your uploads to train our own models, and — per their current terms — Google and Anthropic do not use paid-tier API inputs to train theirs.

Uploaded room photos and unsaved redesign sessions are automatically deleted within 24 hours of your last activity in the session by an automated daily cleanup job. If you explicitly save a design to your account, a copy of the generated redesign is retained until you delete it or delete your account; the original uploaded photo is still deleted on the 24-hour schedule regardless.

The furniture, layouts, and images Boldnest produces are automatically generated by third-party AI models. They may be inaccurate, out of stock, mismatched to your real room dimensions, aesthetically off, or otherwise unsuitable. Treat them as inspiration. Confirm dimensions, availability, safety, and building regulations with a qualified professional before making purchases, structural changes, or hiring contractors on the basis of an output.

AI-generated outputs (furniture lists, layouts, redesign images) are yours to use for personal purposes. Because they're generated by AI models trained on public data, we make no promise they're copyright-free, original, or free of third-party rights. Commercial resale of the outputs is not permitted; see "What you may not do" above.

Boldnest is currently in early access, gated behind an access code. It may be offline, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. We do not offer an uptime commitment. Features may be added, removed, or changed. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give existing users reasonable notice by email.

Boldnest is currently free to use, subject to a per-user fair-use quota on AI generations. If paid tiers are introduced, we'll require explicit opt-in — you will not be billed automatically. These terms will be updated to reflect any paid plans before they become active.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@boldnestai.com. Deletion removes your User record and everything linked to it (saved designs, design events, marketing consent). Cached copies in third-party systems (Vercel logs, Neon backups) age out under those providers' retention windows.

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

To the extent allowed by law, Boldnest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and continuous availability. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is capped at €100 or the fees you've paid in the last twelve months, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, personal injury, or any other liability Greek or EU law says cannot be limited or excluded — including your statutory consumer rights under Greek Law 2251/1994.

Nothing in these terms affects your mandatory consumer rights under Greek or EU law. If any provision here conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection, that protection prevails.

You are entitled to alternative dispute resolution through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

These terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute will go to the competent courts in Athens, Greece. This does not affect your statutory right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and — for material changes — notify account-holders by email. If you continue to use the service after a material change, you accept the new terms; if you don't agree, delete your account.
